Development of new Video In Person functionalities for the insurance and banking sectors
Objective
The objective of the project is to develop - within the R&D module - new functionalities of the Video In Person platform for the insurance and banking sectors: remote inspections supported by machine learning, automatic masking of confidential data, resistance to decryption by quantum computers, and on-premises deployment in a cloud-ready model.
What the project involves
- Industrial research (from TRL 3) - technology for automatic measurement of objects in a photograph.
- Industrial research - technology for capturing and transmitting stills at a higher resolution than the video stream.
- Industrial research - co-browsing technology with data masking.
- Industrial research - post-quantum cryptography (PQC) in WebRTC connections.
- Development work (to TRL 8) - building and testing the production forms of those technologies, integrating them, and adding automated data migration for cloud-ready deployment.
- Internationalisation module - promotional activities to build interest in the product on foreign markets.
Who the project is for
Insurers and banks in Poland and across the European Union that serve customers remotely - including Yameo’s existing clients - together with the advisers, agents and loss adjusters who run those sessions, and the end customers who join a video call without installing any software.
Results
The result will be an innovative tool answering the needs of the insurance and banking sectors: remote inspections supported by machine learning, automatic masking of confidential data, and resistance to decryption by quantum computers. Post-quantum cryptography matters particularly to industries built on high security standards, where a customer and an adviser exchange confidential information and organisations increasingly recognise that data sent over the internet is not secure by default. The project’s scope follows current developments in the field, including OECD work on a Common Transmission System.
